To bring peace to the land, the god Thor hurled thunderbolts from the heavens, carving countless deep grooves along the coast. These grooves filled with glacial water, and became known as the FJORDS. These fjords guaranteed an abundance of salmon—an eternal gift from the gods.
Today, NORWEGIAN FJORD Smoked Steelhead Salmon is the result of centuries of tradition. Our salmon are bred in the glacier-fed fjords of Norway near the Arctic Circle. These cold waters produce salmon with a firm flesh that is ideal for smoking. Fillets are carefully trimmed by hand, then dry-salted and smoked over local alder wood according to timeless Norwegian technique.
